For generations, the Lions Club has been guided by a simple mission: service above self. Through volunteer leadership, charitable outreach, scholarships, youth development programs, and community partnerships, we continue to make a meaningful difference throughout the region.

The Yonkers Lions Club, New York’s longest-standing Lions Club since 1922, unites compassionate volunteers to serve communities, support global causes, and uphold the proud mission of Lions International, creating lasting change locally and worldwide under the motto “We Serve.”
Throughout the years, enduring the stock market crash of 1929 and the great depression that followed, WW II,the Covid 19 pandemic, and periodic fluctuations in our nation’s economy, the Yonkers Lions Club has been faithfully and continuously conducting its charitable work uninterruptedly since 1922.
We are a registered IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that serves the less fortunate in a number of ways. Our humanitarian and charitable efforts benefit those both within the City of Yonkers and beyond.
As a Service Club, we constantly receive numerous inquiries and requests for assistance, and we always do our utmost to respond to all requests promptly and efficiently.We are often able to address a particular matter
either with direct financial assistance or by asking our members to volunteer their services. If unable to assist directly, we attempt to network with other charitable organizations which may have a better capability than wedo to accommodate the need.
We perform all of our service work in our spare time without the benefit of full time personnel or paid staff.
We receive no pay or compensation whatsoever for any of the volunteer or charitable work we do.
Each of our members is dedicated to participating in community service.
